Course Name: Agriculture Management and Marketing
 
Description:
The training will consist of theoretical and practical training in the tunnels from different stages of the growing periods and hydroponic systems.
 
Target Group: Farmers or farm workers, farming with tunnels.
 
Prerequisites:
Must have the following qualification levels or equivalent knowledge:

  • NQF 2: Perform routine operations and identify basic problems in a hydroponic system.
  • NQF 3: Apply routine maintenance and servicing plans and procedures.
  • NQF 2: Define and understand production systems and production management.
  • NQF 3: Explain store inputs, categories, labelling and storage methods.

Capabilities:
When completing this course you will be able to design, prepare and implement basic operational procedures for the cleaning, storage and proper maintenance of equipment, implements and infrastructure. You will also be able to monitor the safe use of equipment, technology, infrastructure and implements. You will be able to order, manage, control and issue agricultural inputs and products and be able to effectively supervise activities in a hydroponic farming operation, through an understanding of hydroponic systems.
